About Oasis

An international training service

We offer a wide range of courses and workshops, designed to meet the specific personal and professional development requirements of each group of participants.

Sessions are participative and practical. Dynamic workshops focus on the exploration, understanding and application of universal values and professional, personal and social life-skills. Experienced international trainers encourage participants to develop their natural talents, strengths and qualities; and empower them to find effective ways to apply these abilities in their own situations and circumstances.

Wherever possible we carry out a feasibility study in advance, as well as an evaluation of feedback and results, to ensure that the services we provide match the needs of our participants.

Some of the groups that would benefit from the training services that Oasis offers are: educators, higher education students, youth groups, healthcare professionals, women, managers and administrators, business organisations, and public sector and governmental organisations.

Our name and logo

There is a legend about a beautiful mythical bird from Arabia - the Phoenix - that sings as it bathes in the oasis each morning, celebrating new life.

The Phoenix is unique - there is only ever one Phoenix. It lives for 500 years, gathering wisdom as it carries out its noble deeds. At the end of its life it burns itself in a fragrantly perfumed nest at the top of a palm tree. From the ashes a new Phoenix rises.

PhoenixThe Phoenix therefore symbolises renewal, renaissance, uniqueness, optimism.

Coincidentally, Phoenix is also the Latin name for the date palm (Phoenix dactylifera). Essential to the livelihood and culture of Oman for centuries, the date palm is valued with regard and respect for all that it gives - food, shade, wealth, beauty, and much more.

Thus we anticipate that those who attend the courses and activities offered by Oasis will discover something new, refreshing, and of great value in their lives.

Social responsibility

Oasis offers training services that complement the work of charitable and social organisations. As its programmes develop, Oasis aims to build its capacity to support specially selected outreach projects.
